The Lightweight Gipfelsturm Tubular Wheelset Black Edition is the ultimate set of wheels for those looking for supreme performance, impressive durability and lightweight credentials.

A truly all-around wheelset with a 27-millimetre deep rim, ready for climbing, descending and flat, fast riding. The perfect balance between aerodynamics and weight saving. Responsive and confident in the wind this is the ideal wheelset for those looking for high performance, race-ready addition to their road or time trial bike. Lightweight has paired stiffness with weight. The addition of a DT Swiss cassette body on the rear wheel, is a reliable platform for mounting your 9,10 or 11-speed, Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo cassette too. Upfront the hub is made from a carbon fibre shell, which houses pressed-in bearings. Strong with 20 spokes in the front and 24 in the rear, all bladed for extra speed. The wheelset can accommodate tyre widths ranging 19-27 millimetres. This allows a wide variety of tyres to be fitted. A tubular rim design keeps the weight down to a mere 1025 grams. The hubs and spokes have been lovingly coated in a white Durflon polymer treatment, thus giving the wheelset it's shiny, polished finish.

Weight and ride quality are further enhanced with the inclusion of CeramicSpeed bearings. These reduce rolling resistance, improve speed and are incredibly durable, so need very little maintenance. The Black Edition name comes from the wheelset's stealth-like finish. A dynamic German design that would look fantastic whatever the colour of your bike. Lightweight provided a complete wheel package, with Lightweight brake pads, a product of SwissStop, Lightweight steel quick-release skewers and a double wheel bag to keep your Gipfelsturm wheelset in pristine condition. A fast wheelset and with speed magnets integrated into the rims the clean, uncluttered and rapid profile of the Gipfelsturm's can be maintained.
